EntrenAI or Humango: which AI coach suits you?

Humango is an AI coach app for runners, cyclists and triathletes that builds on your watch data. EntrenAI starts from a similar idea, a plan that adapts to you every day, but covers 12 sports, strength included, and relies on a daily check-in as well as your activities.

Humango is an AI training app for runners, cyclists, triathletes and fitness enthusiasts. According to its App Store listing, it offers running plans from 5K to marathon, cycling plans (road, gravel and endurance) and triathlon plans (sprint, Olympic, half and full), with swim, bike, run and strength sessions in one place. It says it analyzes your workouts, heart rate, sleep, fatigue and schedule to adapt the plan automatically, and that the plan updates itself when you miss sessions or travel. It syncs with Garmin, Apple Watch, Suunto, Strava, Polar and other platforms.

EntrenAI is an iOS and Android app that generates a periodized plan for 12 sports: the endurance ones (running, cycling, swimming, triathlon, duathlon, HYROX) and also hypertrophy, general strength, powerlifting, speed and power, and Spanish public-exam physical tests. Every morning a sleep, stress and fatigue check-in produces a Readiness Score that raises or lowers the day's load. The plan is calculated by a rules engine, not a language model, and the methodology is published.

Both chase the same thing: a plan that changes with you. Humango starts mostly from the data your watch measures; EntrenAI from a check-in you fill in and how you complete sessions, and adds strength sports that Humango does not advertise as such.

Who should pick which app?

EntrenAI is for you if you want strength, hypertrophy, HYROX or exam physical tests alongside endurance, if you do not want to depend on what your watch measures, or if you want to start free with workout logging and a 7-day trial of the plan.

Humango is for you if endurance is your thing and you have a watch that gives you heart rate, sleep and fatigue, and you want an AI coach to use that data automatically, with sync to Garmin, Apple Watch, Suunto or Polar.

Use both only to compare plans during each one's trial. Keeping both subscriptions rarely makes sense, because each wants to organize your week.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, and one of the closest in approach: a plan that adapts to you instead of a fixed one. With EntrenAI you get strength, hypertrophy, HYROX and exam physical tests as sports with their own plan, and an adjustment that does not depend on what your watch measures. With Humango you get deeper integration with watch data and sync with more platforms.

It depends on which data you want to use. Humango says it analyzes heart rate, sleep and fatigue measured by your watch, so if your watch measures them well it has more automatic information. EntrenAI relies on a daily check-in you fill in (sleep, stress and fatigue) and on how you complete sessions, with rules that are published. If you have no watch or prefer not to depend on one, the check-in works just the same.

I could not confirm Humango's price, so compare in the app store or on its site. EntrenAI costs €7.99/month or €23.99/year, with a 7-day trial, and free workout logging costs nothing.

It includes strength sessions in its triathlon plans, according to its listing. What it does not advertise are plans of their own for hypertrophy, general strength or powerlifting; in EntrenAI those are sports with their own plan.

You can, but it rarely makes sense. Each wants to organize your whole week and you would pay for two subscriptions. The sensible approach is to try each during its trial and keep the one that fits.

Watch integration and endurance track record. Humango syncs with many platforms (Garmin, Apple Watch, Suunto, Polar, Strava) and uses your watch data to adapt the plan. EntrenAI launched in May 2026 and has no watch app of its own. Its advantage is breadth of sports, strength training and an adjustment that does not depend on a device.
