EntrenAI or Trainerize: an AI plan or a coach's platform?
Trainerize is the platform human coaches use to deliver plans to their clients, so most of what you pay is the coach's fee. EntrenAI generates an adaptive plan for 12 sports with no human coach for €7.99/month. They solve different problems, and here is an honest look at which one fits you.
Updated
Trainerize is a platform built for personal trainers and nutritionists rather than for you directly. Your coach uses it to design your workouts, schedule sessions and message you, and you get a client app where all of that shows up. That is why the app on its own is of little use: without a coach on the other side, there is nothing in it. What you pay is mostly the coach's fee, which at the time of writing typically runs €30-100 per session, plus whatever they pass on for the app.
EntrenAI works the other way round. It is an AI training app for iOS and Android that builds a periodized plan from a short questionnaire about your goal, level, available days, equipment and injuries, and it covers 12 sports: hypertrophy, general strength, powerlifting, running, cycling, swimming, triathlon, duathlon, HYROX, hybrid training, speed and power, and public-service entrance tests. A daily check-in on sleep, stress and fatigue feeds a Readiness Score that raises or lowers the load, RIR and RPE adjust your weights, and a missed session reshuffles the week instead of breaking the block. There is no human coach behind it: the AI decides. It costs €7.99/month or €23.99/year, with a 7-day free trial.
The two are not really competitors. If you want a person who knows you, reads how you are doing and answers your questions, Trainerize with a good coach wins on judgment and accountability, and no algorithm fully replaces that. If you want a plan that adapts every day at a fraction of the price, EntrenAI is the one to try.
EntrenAI vs Trainerize: side-by-side
No marketing fluff, no half-truths. Here’s what each app actually offers.
| Feature | EntrenAI | Trainerize |

| Who builds the plan | The AI builds it directly from your questionnaire, with no human coach involved | A platform where human coaches build and deliver plans to their clients |
| What it costs per month | €7.99/month or €23.99/year, with a 7-day free trial | Your coach's fee, typically €30-100 per session at the time of writing, plus whatever they charge for the app |
| Human coach behind the plan | No | Yes On Trainerize your coach makes every decision and the platform is just their tool; in EntrenAI the AI makes them. |
| Generates the plan automatically | Yes, a periodized plan built from your goal, level, days, equipment and injuries | No, the coach builds it by hand or from templates |
| Adapts the plan to your feedback | Daily Readiness Score from sleep, stress and fatigue, RPE/RIR load adjustments and a reshuffled week when you miss a session | Your coach reviews and adjusts it manually, so it depends on how attentive they are |

Who should pick which app?
EntrenAI is for you if you want structure without a coach on the payroll: the self-driven lifter or runner who wants to know what to do tomorrow and have it adjusted when a bad night's sleep or a missed day gets in the way. If you train for one of its 12 sports and would rather spend a few euros a month than a few hundred, it fits.
Trainerize is for you if you already have a personal trainer, or want one, and prefer a human to design and review your plan. If you have an injury that needs a supervised progression, a competition that calls for an experienced eye, or you simply stick to plans better when someone is watching, a coach on Trainerize is worth the price.
Use both when your coach sets the big picture and you want day-to-day adjustments and detailed logging between check-ins. Ask your coach first: some are happy to work alongside an AI tool, others prefer to keep everything in one place.
Frequently asked questions
Both, but the platform is the point. Trainerize is software that personal trainers and nutritionists pay for to run their online coaching, and the app you install as a client is where your coach's plan, check-ins and messages show up. Without a coach on the other side, the app has nothing in it, so it isn't something you sign up for on your own the way you would with EntrenAI.
EntrenAI, by a wide margin. It costs €7.99/month or €23.99/year, with a 7-day free trial. Coaching through Trainerize means paying a professional, which at the time of writing usually lands somewhere between €100 and €400 a month depending on the coach and the level of contact. What you get for that extra money is a person's judgment and attention, which is exactly what an AI doesn't provide.
Choose a coach on Trainerize if you have an injury that needs a supervised progression, you're preparing for a serious competition, you value talking to a person, or you know you only stick to a plan when someone is checking in on you. Choose EntrenAI if your budget is limited, you like learning as you go, and you're a beginner or intermediate athlete without special needs who wants a plan that adjusts on its own. Neither answer is wrong; they suit different people at different moments.
Not as a coaching platform. EntrenAI is built for the person who trains, not for someone managing a roster of clients, so there is no coach dashboard or client management. If you're a trainer, tools like Trainerize, TrueCoach or MyPTHub are designed for that job. Where EntrenAI can fit is on the client's phone, as a way to follow and log a plan between your check-ins.
An experienced coach brings things an algorithm doesn't: intuition, reading how you feel from a conversation, and the fine judgment that comes from years of watching people train. What EntrenAI brings is consistency, availability around the clock, decisions based on your logged data and a much lower price. For an amateur athlete without special needs, an adaptive plan covers most of what they would get from a coach; for elite competition, a good human coach still makes a difference.
Yes, if your coach is open to it. A common setup is to let the coach own the big picture, such as the periodization and the goals for each block, while EntrenAI handles the daily adjustments and the logging of sets, reps and loads between check-ins. Some coaches are happy to work alongside AI tools, others prefer to keep everything inside their own platform, so ask before you set it up.
